EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

 

Not-for-profit Regional Development Agency seeks experienced economic development professional for highly responsible administrative position at a policy formulating level for a ten-county district organization.  Executive Director will be responsible for the operating budget, expenditures, fiscal reports, compliance with conditions of grants, personnel policies, etc.  Agency gives technical assistance to local governments in the preparation of applications for funding projects under the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), Economic Development Administration (EDA), other basic funding agencies and assists in developing plans for area infrastructure improvements.  Baccalaureate degree in business, public administration or related field is important.  Minimum of five years financing/economic development experience required.  In addition, knowledge of state and federal programs including ARC and EDA is preferred.   Applicant should possess strong communication skills with track record as public/private liaison.  Salary commensurate with education and experience.  Submit resume by May 31, 2008 to Attn:  Personnel, P.O.
